Tower Hamlets Self-Build Forum

We’ll be presenting at the Tower Hamlets Self-Build Forum on August 14th. We’ll share how the hub can support groups and further information on the Advice and Feasibility Fund.

The meeting between self-build applicants and council officers is open to the public and attended by cabinet members responsible for housing and strategic development.

The Self-Build and Custom Housebuilding Act 2015 places a duty on local councils in England to keep a register of people who are interested in self-build or custom build projects in their area. This register shows the council the level of demand for self-build and custom build plots in their borough and helps them to develop a strategy for matching people to plots in their area.
